Reminders, Updates & Information

Welcome Back to Miss Jennings
We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Miss Jennings back to school this week. Her big personality and positive energy have been greatly missed by both staff and children, and it’s wonderful to have her with us again.

Mrs Baker’s Return
Thank you once again for your understanding and patience during Mrs Baker’s absence. We’re pleased to confirm that she is due to return after the half-term break.

Boxgrove Summer Fayre – Saturday 7th June (12–3pm)
We’re excited to be running a school stall at the Boxgrove Summer Fayre this year. As part of the fun, we’re inviting children to contribute a “Fill-a-Jar” for one of the games. Jars can be filled with small treats or fun items such as sweets, craft materials, football cards, etc.—anything children might enjoy winning!

Please send in filled jars by Thursday 5th June.
More details will follow after half term.
We also plan to include a rail of second-hand school uniform at our stall.

PE Days After Half Term
Please take note of updated PE days for each class:

  • Fox Class: Tuesday and Thursday
  • Owl Class: Monday and Wednesday
  • Squirrel Class: Monday and Thursday

Important for Fox Class Parents:
From after half term, children in Fox Class should come to school in uniform on Wednesdays. Please send Forest School clothes in a named bag for them to change into in the afternoon.

INSET Day Reminder
A reminder that Monday 2nd June is an INSET day.
Children return to school after the half term break on Tuesday 3rd June.

Attendance Update
We’re pleased to report that our whole school attendance has risen to 95.78% this term—up from 94.1% in the autumn and spring terms. Thank you for your continued support in ensuring your child’s regular attendance.

Good attendance is vital for academic progress, wellbeing, and social development. Our expectation is that all children aim for 96% attendance or higher.

Online Safety and Mobile Phones
We know many parents are understandably concerned about the risks posed to children by smartphones and unsupervised internet access. This topic has gained increased attention recently, particularly following the release of the Netflix drama Adolescence.

We regularly talk to pupils about staying safe online, but families may also find the following website helpful:
